Scarifications remove thatch and moss, allowing the grass freedom to grow well. By removing moss and thatch from the lawn more light and air are able to get to the grass and it is able to grow in a much more healthy manner. This process is carried out once a year, during the spring and autumn months.

On lawns where there is a large amount of moss, an additional heavy moss treatment before scarification and then over-seeding and top dressing can be required to fully renovate the grass.

Due to the high cost of commercial waste disposal, any thatch and moss that is removed is bagged and left for disposal by the customer. We can arrange to dispose of this, if requested, for an additional charge.
