To keep your lawn looking great, follow our watering guidelines.
Grass is like a human, the hotter the conditions are the more water it requires. Over-watering can damage the lawn so do not be tempted to go over our guidelines. This is because grass takes in oxygen through the roots and over-watering will starve the plant of the required oxygen. We recommend watering each area a sprinkler covers for 10-15 minutes, every 3 days, throughout the summer. A good soaking of the lawn every few days is much more effective in producing good growth than a little water every day. If there is heavy rain the three day cycle can be reset. The best time to water is around 04:00 but as this is not practical for most people, the evening is the most suitable time.
Sometimes despite the correct procedures being followed the lawn may require a little extra help. This often occurs during hot, dry spells. We are able to provide this drought control by applying wetting agent.
